16/06/10 Show 'The Golden Quest' Info coming in next couple of weeks. 16/06/10 Summer Performances The Performers Group are out and about again this summer. They have already danced at Stoughton Infants Summer Fair. Next is St Peter's Church Fun Day in Bellfields on Saturday 19th June at 3.30pm, followed by Northmead Summer Fayre on Saturday 26th June at 1.45pm and Celebrating Surrey at Loseley Park on Sunday 27th June at 12.40pm. Let me know if you would like to go and see her. 15/06/10 Exams ISTD Ballet & Modern exams are scheduled for Sunday 18th July. Regearsals are on Sundays 4th & 11th July. Information has been posted out to those concerned. Please note the rehearsal clash with Guildford's panto auditions and be sure to make a note on your exam entry form if you are planning to attend the audition to allow me to arrange an appropriate time. IDTA exams are finally confirmed as Friday 23rd July. Further information to follow shortly. All these exams and rehearsals are taking place at Woking Dance Space in Mayford. 14/06/10 Summer School Info coming in next couple of days. 14/06/10 Guildford Pantomine Auditions Juvenile auditions take place at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on Sunday 4th July. Audition details for Woking are not known yet, but eventually, the details will be available from www.robinsonssearchforastar.com 14/01/10 Update Classes go ahead today. 13/01/10 Update June had a wonderful send off yesterday. Jade danced beautifully for her Grandma. It was lovely to see some of our student families and there were some lovely flowers from the adult tappers. Classes are cancelled today because of the snow. I hope to start tomorrow, but check back for updates. I understand that there have been delays receiving invoices due to postal problems. Therefore, the payment due date can be extended by up to 7 days for anyone who needs it. 06/01/10 June's Funeral FUNERAL IS CANCELLED DUE TO SNOW! Now rescheduled for next Tuesday 12th at 10.30am. 04/01/10 June's Funeral For those of you who have not yet heard, our Vice Principal, June Byng, passed away on Saturday 19th December 2009. Her funeral takes place at 11am on Wednesday 6th January at St Peter's Church in Bellfields. All are welcome to attend. Further details to follow shortly. 07/07/09 All England Dance National Finals Congratulations to those of you who danced so well at the AED Regional Finals. Jade is through to the National Finals with her Tap Solo (class B). Here are the details for anyone who would like to support her and see what the competition is like: Sunday 26th July 4.15pm, The Peacock Theatre, Portugal Street, London WC2A 2HT. The full timetable is available from www.all-england-dance.org.uk and admission costs £10 per adult per 1/2 day (there is no charge for children). If anyone is planning to come along, do please let us know. 07/08/08 IDTA Exam results 2008 Exam results have arrived today. They are outstanding! Congratulations everyone. We had a 100% pass rate yet again with 83% gaining the top two grades (in fact 40% of students achieved honours). Well done everyone. 21/09/03 New website EMA launches brand new web site 30/08/03 Summer School The EMA Summer School was a great success running from 25th to 29th August. The theme was "Arts From Around The World" and all the children had enormous fun learning a dance from every continent. They learnt a Maori Haka, an African Warrior dance, a classical Indian Kathak dance, an English Country dance and an American Street dance. They made costumes and performed on the last day for parents and friends who were amazed at how much the children achieved in just one week. Check out the photos on the Gallery. 26/07/03 New teacher - Victoria Bremner EMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria Bremner as Freestyle teacher from September 2003. Victoria has been teaching at Roshe School of Dance and has choreographed for several productions at Uckfield Youth Theatre. Why not check out her funky energetic Freestyle classes? 07/06/03 Outstanding Exam Results! EMA is proud to announce 100% success for students in the latest exam session for Ballet, Tap and Freestyle. 75% of candidates gained commended or above and 25% achieved the top grade.
